Junior Hunters Courses

This is a 5 day course for scholars between the ages of 13 - 16 years. It is a theoretical and target shooting course with no hunting.

Advanced Junior Hunters Courses

This is a 5 day course for scholars aged between 15-18 years old. This course includes the hunting of one animal per student.

CHASA Proficiency Courses for Dedicated Hunter Status

To achieve Dedicated Hunter Status, members are required to complete the following:
- CHASA senior hunter exam
- CHASA practical shoot
Once above criteria have been met, an application for dedicated hunter status can be submitted.

Competency Courses (for firearms licence applications)

ECGMA is an accredited firearm training provider (Accreditation no. 4000010)

117705 Knowledge of the Firearms Control Act, 2000 (Act No. 60 of 2000)
119649 Handle and use a Handgun
119650 Handle and use a Self-loading Rifle or Carbine
119651 Handle and use a Manually Operated Rifle or Carbine
119652 Handle and use a Shotgun
